What were the customer’s needs throughout the establishment? Previously, there were nine switches for lighting in different areas. The owner needed a solution to simplify this while also enhancing his lighting at different times of day. With multiple zones, the customer especially wanted to control each area easier and reduce wasted energy on unused spaces depending on time of day. For example, no more forgetting to turn off a section of lighting when the staff closes up.
What unique offerings did you provide for your client? The lighting ambiance in select areas of the establishment needed to be adapted precisely. In terms of color, luminosity and stages of the evening. Loxone control of lighting enabled lights to adjust dynamically to match these needs. Not one change needed to be made by the staff.

What challenges were you able to overcome with Loxone? We had to be able to separate and control four zones – restaurant, bar, lounge area, central corridor. Especially when it comes to special events or themed nights, like Halloween, custom changes were important such as switching all lighting to one color at the touch of a button. Additionally, individual control of lights was also important, such as the warm white spots. The customer loved how easy this level of control was using the Loxone App & Remote Air.
What products and protocols were needed to achieve your end result? The entire project runs off Loxone Tree wiring, which I appreciated for its ease of use and reliability. Having everything connected by one Miniserver made everything under control. What are your favorite features?
The color rendering of the LED Spot RGBW is impressive; with perfect warm white, color transitions and 10-second fade when lighting moods are changed. I referred to the Datasheet to determine the number of spotlights needed for this large area, and it worked out great. As soon as I started up Loxone Config software, all 50 RGBW spots were detectable and quick to configure – what a joy it was working with Tree.
