In the company building of the »Schreinerei Grimm«, completed in 2020, the Loxone Miniserver takes on numerous tasks thanks to our gold partner »Projektplanung Rebrovic«. From the lighting to the technical monitoring of the lifting system.
What has been implemented?
Lighting
DALI Extension, RGBW 24V Dimmer Tree
Thanks to the total of 29 presence detectors, all of the lighting in the building is controlled based on presence and brightness.
In the office rooms, LED Ceiling Lights RGBW Tree and LED Spots RGBW Tree ensure optimal illumination of the workplaces. In shadow gaps and the like, LED RGBW strips literally set highlights.
In the production area, certain lights are prescribed on the basis of the Workplace Directive (ASR). This could be integrated quickly and easily into the building automation via DALI extension.

The lighting of the outside area, including the illuminated company sign, has also been automated. While the company logo shines permanently in the dark after dusk, the outside lighting is only activated as soon as someone approaches the company premises.

The building of the Grimm joinery is heated completely independently and in an environmentally friendly manner. For this purpose, the wood chips that arise during the machining process are first sucked off, pressed into briquettes and then fed into a wood stove. This heats the water from a buffer storage tank, which is used, among other things, to heat the building using concrete core temperature control.
A total of 86 Tree actuators ensure that there is always the right room climate in all areas of production and administration. The current actual temperature is determined using the built-in Touch Tree.
Multimedia
Music server 4 zones, speakers
A 4 zone music server and several speakers fill both the foyer and the offices with music. In certain areas, the Multiroom Audio System is also used as a doorbell and - thanks to the text-to-speech function - for internal announcements.
Access
NFC Code Touch Tree
A total of ten NFC Code Touch Trees are in use, which regulate access to the premises or the building.
»A big advantage is that the gates for delivery are also opened using an NFC code touch. Some suppliers get their own code and can open the gate to the site to put the goods down. No employee is disturbed in their work. «

Security

The Grimm joinery has a 360 ° security system.
Many of the components that are already used for building automation, such as presence detectors, door contacts, window handles and the like, form a comprehensive alarm system and protect the joinery from unauthorized access.
Air smoke detectors ensure tha
t any fire is detected immediately and Air water sensors reliably detect incoming water.
Tools, machines and devices are also monitored for technical faults. For example, the important lifting system could be integrated into the security center via Modbus extension.
Regardless of whether it is a break-in, fire, water ingress or technical malfunction: In an emergency, employees are informed immediately via acoustic and visual alarm. The management is also informed of the incident via push notification, email and phone call on the smartphone. This means that immediate action can be taken to avoid cost losses or property damage and personal injury.
Central functions
»For me and the operator, the simple triple click on the button next to the exit is a real highlight. The simple function illustrates the incredible convenience of Loxone building automation.
When the last employee leaves the building, he puts the entire building into after-work mode with a simple command. The shading goes down, certain machines are disconnected from their power, the lights go out or are reduced to minimum lighting, the fans reduce the speed, the music goes off and the alarm system is activated. And all with a simple 3-fold click. «
