Are you missing out on security projects in banking, pharmaceutical storage, or government facilities due to inadequate security standards? Insurance and technical standards for high-risk facilities are increasingly stringent. Systems limited to Security Grade 1 or 2 may not suffice for high-risk applications, limiting project access. Upgrading to JABLOTRON Grade 3 (EN 50131) meets demanding requirements for a wider range of high-security applications.
Security requirements are becoming increasingly stringent as businesses and insurance providers demand higher levels of protection for high-risk premises. In response to these requirements, since June 2026, JABLOTRON has expanded the JABLOTRON 100+ ecosystem with devices certified to Security Grade 3 in accordance with the EN 50131 standard.
What Is Security Grade 3?
Under the European EN 50131 standard, Security Grade 3 is a high-level security classification designed for premises with a significant risk of intrusion. Security systems at this level must demonstrate the ability to withstand attacks from professional intruders who have advanced technical knowledge and access to specialized tools for compromising security systems.
The key features of Security Grade 3 include:
Anti-masking technology: Detectors can identify attempts to obstruct or cover the detection area using materials such as tape, paint, or other physical objects, and trigger an alarm when masking is detected.
Advanced protection against signal interference and encryption: The system incorporates enhanced protection against deliberate signal interference, unauthorized communication attempts, and other techniques used to compromise wireless security systems.
Typical applications: Security Grade 3 is intended for high-risk premises such as banks, jewelry stores, pharmaceutical warehouses, high-tech manufacturing facilities, government institutions, and other critical or high-value sites.
The introduction of the Grade 3 product range enables installation partners to qualify for projects that were previously beyond their scope, particularly across commercial, government, and other high-security applications requiring an enhanced level of intrusion protection.

Expanding Business Opportunities
Conventional alarm systems may no longer meet the security requirements of many facilities where high-value assets are stored or handled. With Grade 3-certified solutions, JABLOTRON partners can undertake projects across a wider range of high-security applications, including:
Jewelry stores and art galleries
Foreign exchange offices and currency exchange counters
Pharmaceutical and chemical storage facilities
Senior government and public-sector facilities
Records storage facilities and post offices
Server rooms
Vaults and cash rooms
And other facilities requiring enhanced security and a higher level of protection.

How Does Grade 3 Differ from Grade 1 and Grade 2?
Grade 3 is designed to protect against experienced intruders who understand alarm systems and may use specialized tools to bypass or disable them. In addition to detecting intrusion, Grade 3 systems provide enhanced protection against tampering and attempts to disable the security system from inside the premises.
Criteria | Grade 1 | Grade 2 | Grade 3 |
Threat Level | Low | Low – Medium | Medium – High |
Intruder Profile | No experience | Basic knowledge | Professional, highly experienced |
Applications | Vacation homes, small apartments | Residential properties, retail stores | Banks, jewelry stores, server rooms, etc. |
System Configuration | Wired and wireless | Wired and wireless | Mainly wired BUS systems |
Access Code | Manufacturer-defined | Typically 4 digits | Minimum 6 digits with alphanumeric characters |
Protection Features | Basic tamper protection | Tamper monitoring | Anti-masking, detection of external magnetic fields, and other advanced protection features |
JABLOTRON’s New Grade 3 Product Line
Switching to Grade 3 does not require technicians to relearn the installation process. The entire system can still be configured through the familiar F-Link software.
At the heart of the system is the JA-108K, developed based on the JA-107K platform and equipped with an integrated LAN communicator with several enhancements:
Supports up to 230 devices
15 partitions
600 users
More robust design with enhanced tamper resistance
USB-C connectivity for convenient maintenance
Powerful power supply capable of powering the entire BUS without additional modules
Up to 60 hours of backup time
Full support for automation and mobile app control.
New Grade 3 BUS devices include:
JA-116E – BUS touch keypad with integrated RFID reader
JA-113M – BUS magnetic contact detector with external magnetic field detection
JA-113A – BUS outdoor siren
JA-111H TRB – BUS communication module for wired detectors
JA-194Y – LTE communicator
JA-194Y-LITE – Lite version LTE communicator

Risk Assessment Before System Design
For projects requiring Grade 3, site surveys and risk assessments are mandatory before system design.
Key principles include:
Survey the entire property before designing the system.
Identify potential intrusion points, such as secondary doors, hidden areas, or rooftops.
Assess the security conditions of the surrounding area.
Understand how the building is actually used by occupants.
Collect floor plans and building layouts where available.
Document all potential risks and define the required protection zones.
The protection grade should be determined based on asset value, property location, and insurance requirements. High-end homes and retail stores typically require Grade 2, while gold shops, server rooms, and pharmaceutical warehouses may require Grade 3.
The system should combine multiple layers of protection, including perimeter and space protection. The control panel and control devices should be installed in the highest-protection area and monitored by immediate-response detectors, while remaining simple and convenient for daily use.
Grade 3 – A Competitive Advantage for Installation Partners
Adding Grade 3-certified products not only enhances protection for high-risk properties but also creates new business opportunities for JABLOTRON partners. With an expanded product portfolio, installation partners can take on more demanding projects, strengthen their competitive edge, and better meet modern security standards
